Etihad Explorers Activity Pack

The Brief

"To create an engagement solution for families travelling with children on Etihad Airways flights."

Our Solution

The Etihad Explorers packs were created with the customer experience at the forefront. The solution needed to provide engagement for children aged 3-13 years travelling both inbound and outbound, whilst also reinforcing the Etihad brand values. With this in mind we created three distinctly different packs that specifically catered for two age groups – each one featuring relevant and engaging content and all produced in both English and Arabic.

Etihad’s existing characters were updated for the 3–8 year old packs. To provide optimum engagement, we ensured the inbound pack featured entirely different content from the outbound pack.

The inbound pack features a dual language activity book, character mask, crayons and a “Perfect Pairs” miniature card game, which all sit inside a bright and beautiful character shoulder bag. The outbound pack includes a reusable Etihad branded wallet, suitcase board game, colour-in postcard, crayons and a “make your own” 3D character model to encourage brand interaction long after the plane has touched down.

For the 9–13 year olds we created an engaging pack that older children would retain as a keepsake and use time and time again. The “Explore, Dream, Discover” pencil case and stationery set does just this and is perfect for those on the move.
